Early Celebration

Brad's office had an early Halloween celebration

Johnny was so excited for it, and kept asking if it was Thursday yet

Asher squeezed into Bela's outfit from her first Halloween

After the trick or treating around the office, we enjoyed some treats and root beer floats. Bela loved telling everyone she was dressed as a lady bug, and was also quite pleased she was able to still wear her fireman hat. John was even more happy to be dressed as a fireman. Which isn't too different from his normal attire.

It's Chilly at the Park

It's definitely fall here in Utah. We had playgroup this morning at the park. It was so nice for the kids to be able to play outside even though the air was crisp.

Asher seems to always enjoy being outside. He looks so adorable all bundled up and sleeping.

Bela is looking more grown up every day

Johnny had such a great time too. Once we were done playing, he told me we needed to go to Winco to get some donuts. I told him I thought he was right.

Sometimes I Wish. . .

that they were always this still and quiet

but then life would be very boring

and Asher wouldn't have anyone to wake him up

right when I put him down for a nap

so I'll take the craziness

Game On

Brad was brave and took both Johnny and Bela to the BYU vs. Idaho St. game. They love their dad, BYU, and game day, so they were in heaven! And BYU won so Brad was happy too.

Fall Fest

We met up with some friends down in Payson for their annual

fall fest. A small, but fun little festival with pony rides, a corn maze, and a few other activities.

John unfortunately had no fear and would run and jump from the top of the slide. Scared me half to death, but he loved it.

The kids' favorite by far was the bouncy slide. The girl running it was so sweet and let them play for far longer than the 5 minutes we'd paid for. After they'd bounced themselves tired, we headed home for a nice long nap.

Bedtime Stories

Bela is very good at reading her brother bedtime stories.

Firemen at the Park

Brad's parents made a quick stop on their way home to Mesquite from Idaho. We met them at a park near our house for a quick snack. Even though it was a warm sunny day, the kids both really wanted to wear some fireman gear. The ducks seemed to like their food from fireman Johnny, and Bela was just pleased to be dressed up just like Johnny.

I Think He Likes It

This kid is loving the baby einstein. He's already made the music play himself, and yes Bela of course has already climbed in there with him. More than once. Where did my newborn go?

Asher's Blessing Weekend

Asher was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents come in from out of town for his baby blessing. We had a delicious lunch at Thanksgiving Point with everyone including my sister Melinda and her family, and Brad's brother Ryan and his family. Even Grandma Tate was sweet enough to come.

Bela was very pleased to be wearing her brother's black coat with the fur trim, and kept saying, "meow, meow"

I was busy chasing after the kids all weekend and didn't take very many pictures, so I snapped a bunch as my parents were leaving out the door for the airport. Johnny and Bela had so much fun visiting with all of their grandparents and showing off their new baby brother. Thanks again to everyone who came, and thanks to everyone who wished they could have been there. We appreciate your love and support!

Having Fun

These kids love each other so much, which makes me very happy. They also love their sunglasses.

Growing Too Fast

This little guy just turned 11 weeks old yesterday and is already growing too fast!

He still is pretty restless at night, and doesn't nap very much. But on the bright side he is now much happier during the day when he is awake. At his two month check-up the doctor told me he's growing quite well despite not sleeping as much as his parents would like. I love every ounce of the 13 pounds this handsome fella now weighs!

Big Sister In Charge

I knew she was excited about having a baby brother, I just didn't realize how hands-on she would be. Bela is right there every time I'm feeding Asher, swaddling him, putting him to bed, getting him up from a nap, and setting him down for tummy time. She's a tad possessive, and wipes off the kisses Johnny gives him. My favorite though, is when you ask her what his name is and she says "Asher buns."
