Playing at the Mall

These kids love playing at the mall, whether it's the indoor play area or climbing around on the rides.

Don't worry, John's an excellent driver.

Chuck E. Cheese

Melinda and I used a coupon to get an absurd amount of tokens to use at Chuck E. Cheese. Between the indoor playground, and all the tokens we have, we're set for quite a few outings of fun with the scary mouse.

Aunt Melinda hit the jackpot and won us tons of tickets.

Children's Museum

Today I took the kids to Salt Lake to meet up with Henry and Melinda at the Children's Museum

The water feature is always a big attraction, I'm so grateful they have ponchos.

Aunt Melinda is always so sweet and helpful with the kids, even when they're a little wild. We had lots of fun Henry and Melinda, thanks for inviting us!

We Did It!

We joined the mini-van club. The kids love it, I love it, and Brad is great at washing it!

Party Again

Today on his actual birthday, we drove up to Grandma Tate's house for dinner after church. Brad's mom was still in town, and Brad's brother-in-law Brett also happened to be visiting, so we were able to celebrate Johnny's birthday again with all of them.

Johnny's Three!

So the party for Johnny's birthday really started the day before his actual birthday. Brad's mom was in town, and she stopped by to give Johnny his presents. As you can see, he was so excited he couldn't even wait to get inside before opening them up.


He loved everything he got, and was especially excited about getting a "joker soaker," just like Norman Price.


Mom and Dad got him a few puzzles and play dough toys. This kid loves puzzles. The big highlight from us was definitely his Mr. Potato Head, or as he likes to call him, "stick-up guy"

We hit up the Pirate Island for a fancy dinner.

Johnny who always talks about eating here, was of course terrified of any and all pirates he saw, but he still had fun. He was especially happy that Aunt Melinda, Uncle Daniel, and Henry came too.

After dinner we headed home to sing to our birthday boy. Uncle Daniel bought Johnny some delicious cupcakes, and Johnny didn't need any help blowing out his candles.

Easter

Brad's convocation was actually on Good Friday, so it was nice having family in town for Easter weekend. On Saturday morning, Brad's mom worked on an Easter egg hunt for the grandkids at a park.

Johnny and Bela had fun finding the eggs and candy, but got a little distracted and played on the toys after they'd each found a few eggs.

Then in the afternoon we met up with my parents at BYU before heading out to lunch.

Johnny and Bela always love hanging out at Daddy's school.

After Easter dinner at Melinda's house on Sunday, we stopped by my parents hotel to say good-bye. Johnny is hard at work showing my parents how much he loves coloring.

We had such a fun weekend and were so happy to be able to spend time with family.
