Sleepy Sleepy

Yesterday when it was nap time, Bela politely insisted she would rather stay up and play. I tried convincing her otherwise, but she wouldn't hear of it. So we compromised and I put her in her saucer. She played for a few minutes, slightly frustrated I wouldn't let her roam free while her brother was asleep, and then got very quiet. I looked over and saw this:

Fresh and Clean

Remember how I said Johnny loved taking a bath? The day after we came back from Washington, I was giving the baby a bath and Johnny started crying for one too. I told him to wait until I got sister in her pajamas, and then I'd put him in the shower. While I was in the living room getting Bela ready, Johnny decided he couldn't wait anymore and took matters into his own hands.

While I was grabbing him a diaper, he made a run for the train

Well, at least he was fresh and clean.

Grandma Tate

We had fun visiting with Brad's Grandma Tate a few weeks ago. Johnny loved showing off, and Bela had a ball crawling around all over the place.

Big Boy Johnny

I am now the mother of a 2-year-old! On May 15 Johnny celebrated his second birthday. He'd been sick all week thanks to his 2 year molars, so we kept the day pretty low-key. It was great that it fell on a Saturday, so we were able to spend the entire day together as a family. Melinda and her family came over to join in on the fun, and the cupcakes.

He got lots of birthday phone calls. Don't you just love his bedhead?
