Growing Too Fast

This little guy just turned 11 weeks old yesterday and is already growing too fast!

He still is pretty restless at night, and doesn't nap very much. But on the bright side he is now much happier during the day when he is awake. At his two month check-up the doctor told me he's growing quite well despite not sleeping as much as his parents would like. I love every ounce of the 13 pounds this handsome fella now weighs!

Big Sister In Charge

I knew she was excited about having a baby brother, I just didn't realize how hands-on she would be. Bela is right there every time I'm feeding Asher, swaddling him, putting him to bed, getting him up from a nap, and setting him down for tummy time. She's a tad possessive, and wipes off the kisses Johnny gives him. My favorite though, is when you ask her what his name is and she says "Asher buns."

Love Him

At two months and 4 days, this kid is already wearing size 6 month jammies. I love cuddling him and giving him kisses. Most of all, I love having him here with us, and seeing how much he loves his brother and sister already.

She's Really 2?

Well technically, not until tomorrow, but we celebrated a day early with family.

She and Johnny played with the new track and are very excited about it.

We love you sweet baby girl. At two you have already potty-trained yourself, know your colors and numbers, and are convinced you can do anything Johnny can do. I love hearing you sing songs to yourself, especially twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider, and I am a child of God. You're such a great big sister, Johnny's best friend, and our little sweetheart. Love you and happy birthday Isabela!

Johnny meets Jonny

Today Jonny Harline was signing copies of this book at Costco. You may remember him from such games as BYU vs. Utah 2006.

The kids thought it was so fun to meet the football player they always read about. Johnny LOVES this book, he has the whole thing memorized. He also tells me when he grows up he's going to be Jonny Harline. It was a great day.

Utah State Fair

I didn't take very many pictures of our night at the fair, but we did have a lot of fun.

The butter sculpture this year was a depiction of the royal wedding. I love the cow on the right with the awesome hat.

On the way back to the van Johnny was feeling tired so he hopped into Bela's stroller for a lift. I love that Bela was so sweet to oblige her brother even though it was such a tight squeeze!

A Little Adventure

Due to some work being done on our apartment, we needed to stay in a hotel for a few days. What an adventure to say the least, there's nothing like sharing such a small confined space with so many active little ones.

Poor sweet Asher, here he is hanging out on the couch. Because he's so little, we didn't want to crowd the space with a pack and play, so we had the little guy sleep in his bouncer. What a good sport.

Johnny and Bela were thrilled to be sleeping on the magic bed that pulled out of the couch. They jumped around quite a bit before they finally settled down for the night.

I was very grateful no one rolled off in their sleep. And even more grateful to finally be able to go home.
