Roar Goes The Lion

So this year for Halloween I bought Johnny the world's cutest shark costume. He looked so adorable in it. Then he and Bela went and got sick this last week, and we couldn't go to any Halloween parties whatsoever.

On Saturday, the day before Halloween, my mom and I were out shopping and I saw this lion costume in a 3t. At 50% off, I thought score, next year's costume, check. Then when Johnny tried it on that night, we realized it fit perfectly for this year.

To say he loved it would be an understatement. Johnny did not want to change out of it at bedtime, so he slept in it. Oh well, at least it made me feel less wasteful in purchasing it.

He put it on again Halloween night to help pass out candy to the trick or treaters. Don't worry, I still plan on getting some shots of him in his shark costume, and Bela in hers also. It's a good thing I have kids who like to dress up.

Great-Grandma Goodrich

We made a stop by Bellevue to visit my grandparents. Johnny made my grandma's day when he sat on her lap to read books.

I didn't get any pictures of Bela with my grandparents this time, but in my defense she had a fever and was pretty grumpy, poor thing. Hopefully we'll be back for another visit soon!

The Orange Burrito

Johnny LOVES being wrapped up after bath time. While visiting my parents in Washington he fell in love with this orange towel and had my mom wrap him up after every bath he took. Grandma was so nice she even let Johnny bring the towel home to Utah so the fun can continue here.

And not to be left out of the picture taking, Sister sat down right next to me with a big "cheese" for the camera.

And if this blanket seems like it is in every picture, it's because it's her favorite. I never had a special blanket when I was little, but both my kids sure love their blankets and we always have to remember them with us on trips.

Packing 101

Today we're flying to Washington.

Thankfully, I remembered to pack everything.

Thursday

Yesterday was a fun and laid-back day. After story time at the library and a little nap, Henry came over for a visit. He looked very dashing in his fireman outfit.

Johnny was excited to show Henry his new Elmo treat bucket.

Later that night before bed, I introduced Johnny to one of my favorite treats: graham crackers and milk. Johnny was in heaven, he told me, "I like to dip it." He's a natural.

Yesterday

We went out to eat at Sammy's in Provo.

We dined al fresco

Brad even stopped by before heading to class

Bela's panda bear had a great time too

Then we headed over to the mall to play

Johnny wanted his sister right by his side the entire time

Sister could not be pried off this slide with the jaws of life. She loved it so much. Probably because it's the only time I've ever let her go up and down the slide completely by herself.

It was a pretty great day.

Camoflauge

Johnny is very into hiding lately. Especially behind pillows and under blankets. He's getting pretty good at blending into his surroundings...

...but upon closer inspection,

you can catch a few glimpses

and usually hear him laughing.

Sister likes snuggle time with mom...

...and is basically a pro at feeding herself now.
